April fool’s green news

It was April Fool’s yesterday… I found a few good green pranks, the one I like the most is from Whole Foods - “Sure Deal” organic air on sale!  Only $6.99 for .02-ounce bottles in original, sea breeze, mountain wind, and salt and vinegar varieties.  What a deal…  too bad it’s no longer on their homepage and it’s difficult to find cached page!

I wanted to read more about Wal-mart’s sustainable 360 campaign, but I’m out of time today…..

Carbon Credits consumer guide

I came across “A consumer’s guide to retail carbon offset providers” last night in search for “reputable carbon credits sources”.  This is a pretty good read.  They rated carbon credits providers under a few categories and came up with a list of companies that they recommend:

• AgCert (Ireland)
• Climate Trust (US)
• atmosfair (Germany)

• CarbonNeutral Company (UK)
• NativeEnergy (US)
• Climate Care (UK)
• Sustainable Travel/MyClimate™ (US)

Nothing about Canadian companies… I’ll do more research!
